AWNET
Since 2002, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding education and training networks for Microsystems Technology (MST) in order to promote the fusion of regional MST participants from industry, research and education sectors.
The six regional German networks have joined forces in AWNET, creating a unique capacity for high-technology training nationwide..
This national co-operation in AWNET stimulates and accelerates dialogue and in particular the co-ordination of conjoint activities. ..
The resulting synergies and existing competencies can be transferred to industry and applied for the education and training of skilled personnel..
The result is a system of education and training measures, ranging from general-education schools and vocational-technical training right up to (postgraduate) studies and continuing and further training..
Moreover, the exchange of ideas provided by AWNET enables the discovery identification of interfaces to further high-technologies (for example Optical Technologies, Nano- or Biotechnology). The goal aim here is also an exchange of information and closer co-operation for in education and training in the future.
